Rampant inflation caused by out-of-control spending is crushing American Families. The nation's current debt per taxpayer is $260,000.00. This number continues to increase by over $300.00 per week per taxpayer. Our lawmakers cannot continue to burden future generations with insurmountable debt.

Proper government oversight on spending cannot happen when Congress is only in session 127 days a year. John will work to expand the Congressional workweek so that once again our elected leaders will do their jobs and provide true fiscal oversight.

John is a businessman who will use his proven experience to reign in wasteful spending in Washington and curb inflation. He supports eliminating omnibus spending packages and, rather, having Congress vote on individual appropriations that have been carefully reviewed and audited for true fiscal responsibility. John will work to eliminate unnecessary, inflated spending packages that go towards fueling the bloated D.C. bureaucracy.

John Rust is committed to fully funding a border wall from the Gulf of Mexico to the Pacific Ocean and will make the completion of the wall a top priority as a member of the U.S. Senate.

The United States is being flooded with illegal immigration, which has led to dramatic rises in crime, a crushing fentanyl crisis, and the reduction in American wages. Completing the border wall not only addresses security concerns but also positively impacts real wages for working families.

In addition to funding the completion of a physical wall, John will push for additional funding for new technological infrastructure to enhance the security of our points of entry. John will also increase funding for the U.S. Border Patrol Agency to recruit and retain additional agents.

John Rust is a 6th Generation Indiana farmer who will fight to ensure our food independence from foreign powers.

America’s food supply is not only a key part of our economy, but it is critical to American sovereignty and security. John Rust understands the need to protect American Farmers and land while maintaining control over domestic food production. This involves preventing foreign entities, such as China, from acquiring American land and influencing food production. John will also push back against mega corporations that use anti-trust laws to put American Farmers under their thumb. He’ll work to ensure that these laws protect who they were intended to serve - the American consumer.

As a U.S. Senator, John Rust will honor the commitment made to hardworking Hoosiers by rejecting the notion of making individuals work until they die.

John will oppose any attempts to raise the retirement age.

The money paid into Social Security is a contract that must be honored. The political elites in Washington have used this money for other purposes for far too long. John will make sure Social Security is solvent and that politicians keep their hands off the benefits you have paid for. To solve long term commitments to Social Security, John will work to increase wages amongst American workers and increase the amount of revenue taken in by these programs each year without raising taxes or cutting benefits.

John believes in a strong, America First national defense.

In order to create a more pragmatic and fiscally responsible military, John will push back against the politicization within its administrative ranks. Additionally, he’ll emphasize the need for fiscal responsibility in government spending, steering away from excessive costs associated with non-competitive contracts and extravagant expenses.

John supports a return to the fundamentals of education, emphasizing reading, writing, arithmetic, and the teaching of factual American history. He opposes indoctrination and advocates for a proud presentation of America's history as a symbol of freedom and hope, underscoring the sacrifices that have made our nation great.

Furthermore, John is a strong advocate for school choice, and will push for additional funding for charter schools and school vouchers - allowing parents to have more control over their child's education.

John believes that there are only two genders, male and female, and that men should not compete in women's sports.

John Rust is committed to restoring and protecting the principles of fair trade. John will fight to restore American manufacturing by protecting American workers against failed trade agreements like NAFTA. Additionally, John will be tough on countries like communist China, who promote unfair trade practices and steal intellectual property from American businesses.

Put simply we cannot sustain cheap imported goods that do not factor in lost revenues that would have been paid in for American products. We must level the playing field so American business can compete fairly.

He will advocate for additional incentives for adoption and foster care, increase funding for pregnancy centers and educational programs, and provide enhanced resources for mothers experiencing financial hardships throughout the pregnancy and child-bearing process.
